Hydraulic fracturing strengths and weaknesses

We have long been considered non-gelled water is the cleanest and most economical fracturing fluid. If compatibility issues as well as in the formation fracturing fluid filtration problems minimal case, the non-thickened water as a basic fracturing fluid will be of great significance. These stimulation usually refers to  Hydraulic fracturing ,  reducing water resistance fracturing or branch fracturing (occasionally), they usually require a large number of high-speed pumped  Proppant  containing reducing agent and a small amount of water. In the application, with the use of conventional thickening fluid, this method can reduce the capital investment on the one hand, the other hand the use of hydraulic fracturing than other thickening fluid fracturing method is more economically viable. And other technical measures to increase production as hydraulic fracturing has its advantages, but also has its shortcomings. This particular method is its selection key principles will be applied to fit the unique advantages of this region or strata.
1 Potential advantages include  hydraulic fracturing :
2 simple, single-use chemical agents;
3 can produce a long hydraulic length;
4 Initial production can be compared with ordinary stimulation intended;
5 less expensive than ordinary stimulation.
As expected, hydraulic fracturing has shortcomings, such as:
1 is limited to the amount of low sand strata;
2 filter sand speed;
3 effective fracture length is shorter;
4 with the common fracturing operations of similar size compared to the decrease in the final yield greater;
5 The following fracturing aquifer has a certain risk.
In essence, hydraulic fracturing of various unfavorable factors indicate proppant fracturing fluid carrying capacity is poor. If the  Proppant  can be effectively carried in place of water, then the potential adverse consequences will be significantly reduced or even disappear completely.
