Abundant reserves of shale gas resources in North America

Countries in the world for coal, oil and natural gas resources, the rising demand for energy increasing pressure. As an important supplement to conventional energy, shale gas, coalbed methane, oil sands and other   Unconventional gas   energy gradually coming into view. In the past decade, U.S. shale gas production increased 12-fold, the United States has jumped from the importing country for the world's largest shale gas producer.

shale gas is mined from shale in natural gas, is an important  unconventional gas  resources. Shale gas formation and enrichment has its own unique characteristics, often located in the basin of thick, widely distributed shale source rock formations. Compared to more conventional natural gas, shale gas development has a long life and exploitation of the advantages of long production cycle, most of the shale gas production and wide distribution, thickness, and generally containing gas, which makes shale gas wells to a stable long-term rate of gas production.

The face of shale gas in the United States this impressive success, shale gas is gaining worldwide recognition. Global Pages gas resources are very rich. According to the U.S. "oil and gas" magazine quoted experts predict, the world's shale gas reserves of about 11 to 13 trillion tons, far more than more than 4000 tons of conventional oil reserves in the world. The next 10 years, shale gas will become a new energy beyond the traditional natural gas.

Now face rising prices of oil and gas resources, the exploitation of  shale gas  is more cost-effective, can greatly reduce the dependence on conventional oil and gas resources. However, China is still in the early stages of the development of shale gas, the related technology is not mature, the need to seek cooperation with other countries, to increase technology research and development, also need the support of relevant national policies, then shale gas, our country will really ease energy tensions.
